When we finally decided to move to the suburbs, one of the things I was most excited about was planning a nursery for Macks. He didn’t have his own space in our apartment and I wanted to give him something all of his own that he would love growing up in.

While it’s only been about a week since we moved in and we still have a lot of organizing and buying to do, I am starting to slowly put Macks’ nursery together.

I wanted to do a woodland nursery theme inspired by my family’s home in Alabama that I grew up going to. Originally I wanted to go with more of a darker blue color, but his room is a bit smaller and only has one window, so the darker walls would close it in. I’ve already painted Macks’ nursery with Benjamin Moore’s Alaskan Husky which opened up the space and made the white trim pop.

To help me organize my design of the room, I decided to put together a little inspiration board. It’s no where close to looking like this yet, but hopefully it will be soon. I’m just having a blast designing it all!
