When I first started blogging it was an outlet for me to get away from my life for a second and get to escape into another one. It became very therapeutic for me. Little did I know that blogging would also bring new people and friendships into my life. The women {and men} that I have met through blogging have not only supported me along the way, but have pushed me and challenged me to do more. These five women I want to introduce to you have inspired me throughout my journey.

Jill Seiman-Glamamom

Not only do I have the pleasure of knowing Jill through the blog world but also in real life. We spoke through twitter a lot and the first time we met in person, we immediately clicked. Being a newbie in the blog world and not knowing much, she has helped me out tremendously and has introduced me to some amazing brands. With her sparkling personality and her niche for fashion, she is a must have on my list.

Nicole Feliciano-Momtrends

I recently met Nicole for the first time at an event here in NYC. I have been an avid reader of her blog even before I started my own and she was just as fabulous in person as she is on her blog. Nicole, a mom of 2, created Momtrends for hip moms who didn’t want to leave their style in the delivery room. Her blog has not only helped me stay fashionable, but it has also given me great tips for my entire family. If I need to find the latest trends in fashion and lifestyle, Nicole’s blog is first on my list.

Audrey McClelland- Momgenerations

This busy mom of 4 boys is fashionable and energetic and a great advocate for many things, including children’s literacy and breast cancer awareness. I love reading Audrey’s work and love watching her vlogs. She is full of so much passion for what she does and it is evident when you read her blog and meet her in person. Her experience in both fashion and motherhood is what makes her so fabulous!

Debi-The TRUTH about Motherhood

Don’t you wish there are certain things moms would tell you before you entered motherhood? Self-proclaimed “horrible liar”, Debi tells us all the dark sides of motherhood. Her witty style has me laughing while reading and thinking to myself, “that is so true!” Debi is fabulous because she is a strong and courageous mother taking her of her daughters while her husband works in another state during the week. I have been in her situation not too long ago and commend her for the amazing job she is doing.

Carrie- Carrie with Children

I fell in love with Carrie’s blog soon after I started blogging myself. Carrie is a mom of two beautiful girls, Maggie and Molly (born with Down syndrome.) Since Molly’s birth, Carrie has become a great advocate for her daughter. She doesn’t let Down syndrome get in the way of her life or her family’s life. She is such an inspiration to me and makes me want to be a better mom. Once you read Carrie’s blog you will look at life an entirely different way. Thank you Carrie!

These women are fabulous in their very own way and that is why I chose them as my Fabulous 5. They inspire me to be a better mom, wife, and woman. I am blessed to have been introduced to them through the blogging world, twitter, and real life. If you haven’t checked out their blogs yet, please do. You will be happy you did.

Don’t forget to enter the 50 Fabulous Wishes contest for a chance to win $1,000 to support a friend’s wish. I was selected for this Tropicana Trop50 sponsorship by the Clever Girls Collective, which endorses
Blog With Integrity
, as I do. I received compensation to use and facilitate my post.

OMG, I am so flattered to be on your list. I am actually speechless. This has NEVER happened before:) I just want you to know that I think you are fabulous and your big heart and support with this whole commuter thing has meant a lot to me. I must say I am a little jealous that Nicole and Jill have gotten to meet you IRL! Hopefully, we can meet at BlogHer! Happy Mothering! You rock!

My goodness Lauren, this is so incredibly sweet of you! And what amazing company I’m in! The feeling is 100% mutual. I’m so happy you moved to New York and started blogging and that we’ve gotten to become friends on AND off the blog. Plus, you’re the only person I know that was in labor at the exact same time as me 😉 Looking forward to more adventures together. BIG HUG!

Thanks so much for highlighting these mommy bloggers. In many ways NYC is very different from life in Portland, Oregon, but it is great to learn from those differences and the similarities.

Cheers,

Darcy
