As many of you know we have had a brutal winter this year. Snow has been blanketing the city for months now. Between the frigid temperatures and snow it has become super easy for Harlan and I to find an excuse to stay in the apartment to keep warm. After the endless days of playing inside, cabin fever starts to settle in fast. It leaves us longing for sweet Spring to makes its way.

We got a glimpse of the spring weather last Friday. Temperatures reached the mid-60’s and it felt like heaven to me. I don’t think that in my 16 years of living in Florida I have ever been so excited for temperatures to reach the 60’s. I probably would think it’s cold if it reached the 60’s in Tampa. Not here, though. Sixty degree weather was the warmth that I have been longing for all season long.

Harlan and I decided to take advantage of the great weather and get outside for the day. It has been so long since we have actually taken a walk outside without the intentions of going somewhere. We took her tricycle out for a ride and just walked up and down the streets basking in the sun and warm air.

It was so nice to be able to go out in a light jacket and not have to take thirty minutes putting on hats and scarves and big puffy jackets. We just hurried out the door and went on our way.

Pups went on the walk with us and enjoyed being out in such a drastic change of weather. You could tell Toby, our Yorkie, especially liked it because it is so picky about the type of weather he has to go out in.

It was such a treat to be outside just to get a glimpse of what is to come in the near future for us. It made me want to get out all of my spring and summer clothes out from storage and get it ready. That was until I looked at the weather forcast and realized that we were just being teased with such great weather. It was only a matter of time before I had to look out my window and get a glimpse of this:

Although the snow has returned to the city, I am still anxiously awaiting the arrival of Spring. It is so close I can almost taste it. In the meantime, Harlan and I are enjoying the snow that we so desperately wanted when we were living in Florida.

Friday was such a tease! I was aching to go running but didn’t have time šŸ™ I can’t wait for Spring either. Maybe it was a way of Mother Nature telling us to hold on and relief will come soon šŸ™‚ Love her tricycle, she looks so happy to be outside!

I was IN LOVE on Friday with the 60-degree temperature! Love. Like you, I was so ready to take out all my Spring/Summer gear. LOL. Then Saturday was crazy windy and then the friggin’ snow came back. Aww… something to look forward to, I guess. Glad you gals got to enjoy the day. Harlan looks so content on her tricycle.

Ah, that weather was fantastic and I’m glad to see you guys (and pups) enjoyed it. What a tease though! Gone already, sigh.
