The weather this weekend in NYC was less than ideal. While we managed to miss the rain, it was still gloomy and grey throughout the city. We didn’t have anything special planned this weekend, which I always love.
Most of our weekend was spent lounging and relaxing. Our Saturday mornings are always quite busy as we have early morning family gym day. Harlan is enrolled in both swimming and tumbling and does both on Saturdays at our gym. MacKay and I manage to get a workout in between her classes and we do a family lunch before heading back home for an afternoon nap.
Avery has really matured over the past couple of weeks and loves to show us her girly side. While she loves playing dress up, she really loves bringing a purse with her everywhere we go. She stuffs it with just about anything she can find in her room (a lot of figurines) and loves to bring her toothbrush with her as well. This is how she rode the bus on the way home from the gym on Saturday; purse in hand and holding on to the pole the entire tire. She looks like such a little kid here.
On Sunday I snuck out of the apartment after church while MacKay and the girls napped. I have been on the hunt for the perfect boyfriend jeans for quite a while now. I don’t want to buy maternity because I want to be able to wear them after I have the baby, but shopping for non-maternity jeans while pregnant is less than ideal. Thankfully boyfriend jeans are very forgiving, pregnant or not. After searching nearly every department in Bloomingdales, I ended up buying a pair online and am waiting for them to arrive so I can see how they fit. ::crossing my fingers::
Sunday evening I arrived home to find this lovely little girl playing dress up. She put this on all on her own and walked out of her room; dog and all! I love that her personality is really starting to shine through! She really is such a blessing.
Hope you had a great weekend!
