You know those babies that are set out to humble you in the parenting arena? Yeah, Macks is one of them. This little boy is proving to do things differently than his sisters did. Some might call it high-maitenanced, I just think he likes a little bit of extra love. Everything that I used to think that I had figured out, Macks reminds me that I don’t.
Our newest parenting challenge is trying to get Macks to take a bottle. We introduced the bottle around four weeks and I started with the bottles that Harlan and Avery used and had no problem with. Of course, Macks didn’t like them so I went online that night and ordered one of nearly every kind of bottle on the market. We don’t use bottles that often, but I wanted to make sure that when he does take one that he is comfortable with it.
Of course trying out every single bottle on the market to see which one he preferred was both expensive and time consuming. I wasted a lot of milk because he would flat out refuse to take a bottle. And for any nursing mom that pumps, you know that breast milk is liquid gold.
