Yesterday we drove up to Mystic, CT for a day at the Mystic Aquarium. We went a couple of years ago when Har was just a wee little one and had the best time, so now that we live closer, it’s the perfect place to go for a day trip.
The kids and I love going to the aquarium and Mystic has such a gorgeous facility with so many fun things to see. Outside featured animals from the Arctic, which was probably my favorite. They had beluga whales, penguins, and seals. It helped us forget the fact that it was freezing outside!
Once inside, the girls could not be more excited than to see the jellyfish. There were so many different kinds (even ones that lit up.) I’ve never seen Macks so interested in something. He just kept pointing at everything while trying to talk. It was the cutest.
The kids checking out the fish. Avery got so excited that Macks was excited.
And Avery showing off her personality in this silly hat.
After the aquarium we headed to downtown Mystic for a quick stroll before heading back home. It is such a quaint town and so much fun to walk around in.
Macks had skipped all of his naps throughout the day because he was so excited from seeing everything, but once we got out and went for a stroll, he was able to keep warm and chill out a little. I made sure to bring both our baby carrier and our stroller for the trip because you never know if Macks wants to be held or just wants to be pushed in the stroller. With the temperatures being as cold as they were, I wanted to make sure that he was warm enough while we were outside.
I’ve always used 7A.M. Enfant products while we lived in the city because they were guaranteed to keeps the kids warm in even the coldest temperatures. And even though we’ve moved to the burbs, it doesn’t mean we’ve escaped the cold weather.
I brought the 7A.M. Pookie Poncho with us for our trip because it’s so versatile that I can use it when I am wearing Macks and I can also attach it to his stroller or car seat (it’s attached on the outside making it safe and doesn’t obstruct with the harness only when used without the hood) for when we are going for a stroll. I didn’t use it in the baby carrier mode this trip, but I used it on our New Years Day trip to the beach and while it was absolutely freezing on the beach, Macks would not have known because he was kept so warm and cozy.
The Pookie Poncho comes with two interchangeable hoods, the smaller for when used on a baby carrier. and the larger hood zips onto the back of Pookie Poncho, adding additional protection of your little one’s face while in a stroller.
7A.M. Enfant is generous enough to give one Pookie Poncho to a lucky AMITC reader. Just fill out the form to enter.
