We celebrated Avery over the weekend with her dream Hello Kitty Birthday Party! When she asked for a Hello Kitty theme this year, I was a bit hesitant because we threw Harlan a Hello Kitty party just last year. But when she insisted, I was determined to make this different from Harlan’s and just the way that Avery wanted it.
We went with pink pink and more pink for the theme of the party. It’s one of A’s favorite colors and Hello Kitty wears it often.
Our cake was another delicious and gorgeous one from Magnolia Bakery. They never disappoint and although we are out of the city, I refuse to go anywhere else for a cake.
Most of the party decor is from Shop Sweet Lulu. They are and have always been my go-to for party supplies.
You may remember the Mrs. Pots cake pops from Avery’s Beauty and the Beast party last year. Well I asked Cake 5 Sweet Designs to make Hello Kitty cake pops for this year’s party and she did not disappoint.
While the kids ate pizza, the adults dined on fruit, a cheese platter, fruit, popcorn, chips, and veggies. I usually stress over making food for the adults, so this year I decided to make it easy and get things that were very easy to prepare and put on a serving dish. Most things were gone by the end of the party, so I’d say it went over well!
The decor for the table was pink, pink, and more pink!
These bows were completely last minute and something that I came up with after a quick Pinterest search. Paper Mart was kind enough to send over rolls of crepe paper for the backdrop and I had some left over so I decided to make these bows. I had no idea what I was going to do with them until minutes before the party, but I love the way they turned out!
We had this year’s party again at Kidville. We had it at this location last year and we’ve been going to Kidville classes (in the city) since Harlan was a baby. I was so excited when I saw one when we moved to Connecticut. And as always, the Kidville staff did not disappoint.
The kids made masks and super hero capes.
The played in the gym.
Tumbled along the tumble track and then had a turn swinging on the bars.
They played games, which as you can see Harlan got very into. She’s got both mine and MacKay’s competitive streak in her which might get her in trouble later on in life.
While Avery is just a more go with the flow kind of girl.
We sang Happy Birthday while Avery made her wish.
While I’ve already had a lifetime of my wishes come true with these four by my side.
Happy Birthday Avery!
