Macks and I get two days during the week with just the two of us. As he gets older (and much more talkative,) it’s become a time that I cherish during the day. I’ve started to carry on the tradition that I have with the girls and have been taking him on dates in the morning. We’ll go to breakfast, to the bookstore, or something simple like playing outside. I love this time together with him.
Just the other day as we were scooting outside on our back porch, he came up to me and gave me the biggest hug around my neck and told me he loved me. It was just the assurance that I needed that he loves this time together just as much as I do.
That’s what makes me happy.
