Tomorrow morning we leave for a much needed vacation. We haven’t been out of the city since April and the “trapped” feeling has started to set in. The fact that we don’t have a car to easily get out of the city has made matters even worse. Having a car in the city is just not practical for us, but sometimes I really miss being able to get in the car and just go.
Instead of a car, tomorrow we are getting on a plane and just “going” to the beach. A week long trip to the shores of South Carolina. My family has a time share in Hilton Head and we’ve been going ever since I can remember. I haven’t been in at least five years and I am so excited to bring Harlan to do some of the very things that I did growing up.
After our trip to Hilton Head, Harlan and I will head to Charlotte, NC to visit my in-laws for a week. I’ve mentioned that I have incredible in-laws and I can’t wait to spend the week in the southern suburbs and eat delicious southern food.
I will still blog here and there throughout the vacation, but for the most part I will be enjoying our much needed time away!

Also, make sure to Harlan to see Shannon Tanner perform and watch the fireworks on Tuesday night. Kids love Shannon and the fireworks are beautiful!
