I have fallen in love with every single inch of this city. There hasn’t been a day that has gone by that I haven’t embraced every single moment. From the streets of Times Square to the beautiful cherry blossoms in Central Park, New York City is beautiful in its own way.

Harlan is very fortunate to be able to grow up in a city with such rich culture and history. I want her to learn as much about the city as possible while we are living here {because it probably won’t be forever.} As we go out and explore the city together I tell her as much as I can about the buildings we see or the parks we walk by. Although she probably doesn’t understand all of it, I know that she is embracing the moment.

I have even brought a part of the city inside for her to enjoy. This amazing poster by French artist Julie Mercier is now hanging in Harlan’s room and adding a splash of color to her bare walls.

The kid-friendly map has all of the New York City landmarks including the Statue of Liberty, Empire State Building, and Central Park. It even includes some of the more tourist hot spots including Macy’s Herald Square and Chinatown.

Harlan and I love pointing out of our favorite parts of the city together on the map. I love it because it brings a piece of the city into Harlan’s room!

The poster is 50×70 cm (20×28 inch), it is a limited edition to 300 copies. It is available online at L’Affiche Moderne.

That is awesome. I love it. Maybe you can find a way to jot notes on the back of some of your adventures together in NYC ( as long as you don’t press too hard:) and then when she is older and you are living in the suburbs someplace else, you can read them back together. You are such a thoughtful Mommy!

Wow, that is a gorgeous poster! Harlan will really cherish that as she grows older, esp. if you all do end up moving away from the city.

And yes, I agree, NYC is an awesome place!
