I’ve always known Harlan was going to be a climber. When she started walking at 10 months she was off trying to climb on our entertainment system the next month. To let her get some of the climbing energy out and learn some new skills, I enrolled her in a toddler gymnastics class. It’s been a couple months that Harlan has been taking the Tumblers class at Kidville and not only is it a great place for her to run around, but she is also loving learning gymnastics skills I never thought she would be able to do at her age.

This is her favorite thing to do when we get to class.

She could spend hours on those rings just swinging like that. I’m surprised her arms don’t get tired.

She was so proud of herself after this moment. If you listen in the very end of the video she says, “I did it.”

Her newest accomplishment is doing a forward roll all by herself. I have no idea where she learned it, but she is attempting them every 5 minutes everywhere we go.

I can’t help but think maybe she is giving us a little glimpse of what she will want to do in the future.

That is so sweet. It looks like you have the next Mary Lou Retton {showing my age!} in your family.

I use to love gymnastics. I think it’s so awesome that kids can start doing this stuff so early on now. It gives them a way to try a lot of different things and really figure out what they like! I can’t wait for Ethan to do stuff like this!

She is just too adorable! I definitely see some gymnastics in her future. The Nut thinks she’s a gymnast too, but I’m afraid the height factor will do her in pretty early.
