Harlan is reaching an important milestone this year. She starts school for the fist time. I enrolled her in pre-school for a couple days a week starting this Fall and I couldn’t be more proud. A part of me is sad because this is yet another reminder that she is growing up, but I am so eager to see all of the wonderful things that she learns in school.
As a mom who loves to dress up her little girl, back to school is yet another excuse for me to hit the stores and go shopping! I hardly ever buy anything full price for Harlan because she grows out of her clothes too quickly. This year I plan to take full advantage of the Back to School sales and stock up on some great outfits.
With Fall quickly approaching and Harlan’s closet bursting at the seams with summer dresses, I want to get her some warmer clothes for the cooler weather. Fall in the city is one of my favorite times of year and it’s only appropriate for her to have some great jeans, cute tops, and warm coats.
And what doesn’t make every outfit complete than a new pair of shoes. Harlan had a major growth spurt over the summer because she only has two pairs of shoes that fit her now {I bought her 4 pairs at the beginning of the summer} She’s has worn her Chameleon crocs all summer long and has almost outgrown those. The crocs have been so great for her I can’t wait to get her another pair for her first year of pre-school.

I just bought myself a pair of the wedges. Honestly, I’m surprised how comfy they are and how many compliments I’ve received. They are perfect for wearing to the beach and seem durable enough to withstand the salty air of Cape Cod, too!

Cal wears uniforms to school, so it does take some of the fun out of back to school clothes shopping. But, we try to get her fun accessories (hair and jewelry) every year.
