I have a confession to make. I am a Starbucks addict. Moving to the city has only made my addiction worse because I no longer have to get in to car to get to my Starbucks. With one on every corner and even one right across the street from my apartment, I am visiting more than I ever thought was possible. It used to be the Frappuccinos, then the hot breakfast sandwiches, now it’s something new that has me running to Starbucks; the Bistro Boxes.

With Harlan and I constantly on the go, I am always looking for easy lunches that we can eat while walking down the city streets and Harlan in her stroller. I’ve never been one to make a good lunch {I’m much better at fixing dinner} and always seems to forget to buy the lunch items when I order my groceries, so eating out for lunch seems to always be our “go to.”

I first spotted the Bistro Boxes in the cooler section of Starbucks, and although I was there for breakfast, I figured I’d grab one for lunch later. There were so many varieties to choose from {9 total}, it was almost hard to decide which I one I wanted. I ended up going for the Cheese and Fruit, although the Chicken and Hummus came in a close second and is next on my list.

As a cheese lover, the three cheese variety was perfect. The brie paired perfectly with the apple slices and the gouda and aged cheddar tasted great on top of the 9-grain crackers. The almond cranberry mixture was a great sweet and salty ending to the meal. The Bistro Box left me feeling full and satisfied.

With the success of trying and loving my first Bistro Box, I can only imagine how much I am going to love the others. It’s just another way for me to feed my Starbucks addiction.

What is your favorite Starbucks item?

I’m also a Starbucks addict and love the fraps, caramel macchiatos, or vanilla lattes. Yum!

I am loving the new Bistro Boxes! I went in the other day to get my usual (caramel macchiato) and decided to try out the Protein Box. Well worth it and tasty.

OMG. I haven’t seen those yet. I wonder if they have them in CT Starbucks? That chicken and hummus would scratch me right where I itch.
