When I first got pregnant {even before I knew, but was having the symptoms}I had a strong craving for sparkling water. Nothing else seemed to satisfy me like the bubbly tatse of sparkling water. MacKay drinks it all the time and I am buying it buy the cases, but I never acquired a taste for it until just recently {it’s crazy what pregnancy hormones can do for your taste buds.}

After putting out a tweet on twitter and professing my love for the drink, Becca from Beccarama reached out and told me I needed a Sodastream. Soon enough she put me in touch with the great people of Sodastream and they were gracious enough to send one for me to try out.

When it first arrived I was super excited but also a little hesitant that we wouldn’t have enough counter space to store it. To my surprise it was slim, compact and fit great on the counter with all of our other kitchen gadgets.

The assembly was super easy and before I knew it, I was making a glass of sparkling water for MacKay and I to enjoy.

No electricity is required to use Sodastream. A reusable carbonator is included and at the press of a button you can have soda in seconds.

Our kit also came with a great selection of samples of the variety of soda that the machine makes. We aren’t big soda drinkers in my family, but when my brother came up to the city to visit {he’s 17} with his friend, they both thought that it was the greatest machine ever invented. They made a different type of soda each time they got a drink. They loved it so much that I just sent my parents one for them to enjoy.

The Sodastream has not only saved us money, but it is also great for the environment. Using the Sodastream helps eliminate waste from cans and bottles, and less pollution from the transportation of bottled beverages.

The Sodastream is satisfying for my cravings and the environment.

I’ve seen those in some stores, like BB&B. They look really fun. But I never considered the fact that they’re “green” products. Imagine if everyone who drank soda at home did it this way…how many tons of plastic would be saved. Very cool.
PS, congrats on being PG! Yeay!

I never ever heard of Sodastream so thanks for the suggestion. I like that it’s small and compact b/c I hardly have any counter space left in my kitchen. See… THIS is why I read blogs!
