The Big City Moms Biggest Baby Shower is the must attend event of the year for new and expectant moms in the city. I’ve attended the event several times, but this was the first that I was attending at an expectant mom and I couldn’t have been more excited.

As many of you know I am the social media director for Big City Moms so that meant that I did have to work to event most of the day (which was SO fun to set up for,} but that didn’t mean that I wasn’t able to walk around check out the amazing food and incredible vendors.

Although I have been immersed in the baby world for over two years now, there are still so many baby companies that impress me with their products.

Sam Simon is truly one of a kind. His artwork is breathtaking and is a must have for any home.

Sam spent all day setting up the amazing decor inside of the Metropolitan Pavilion. The venue looked stunning when he was finished.

I know Sam personally and his personality shines through all of his pieces. Not only are they amazing, but so is he.

Britax, a favorite of mine, showed off their amazing line of stroller, car seats, and their newest addition a baby carrier {which went home with many lucky moms that night!}

We only use Britax car seats in our family and I recently recieved the B-ready for when baby girl #2 arrives and I cannot wait to use it!

Another great find at the baby shower was Sage Spoonfuls, a homemade baby food company started by Liza Huber {who’s mom is daytime soap star, Susan Lucci.}

I love Liza’s philosophy that you don’t have to spend hours slaving over the stove making homemade baby food for your child. By spending just 1 hour every 2 weeks, you can have a freezer stocked with healthy and delicious baby food, made from safe, natural ingredients. Instead of going to the store to buy baby food, you can simply “go shopping” in your freezer!

I made baby food for Harlan because it was more nutritious and I knew where the food was coming from, but I never had a system that was quite as easy at Sage Spoonfuls.

If you are looking to dress your baby in stylish yet sustainable clothing then look no further than Finn + Emma. I loved their fresh colors and whimsical patterns, all without the harmful chemicals.

I’ve been looking for a new diaper bag when the new baby comes and I am absolutely in LOVE with the collaboration from Skip Hop and Jonathan Adler.

Jonathan Adler is a designer known for brining style, craft, and joy to your home. All of his looks are sure to make you and baby look “groovy” as you are walking down the street.

Another company I loved speaking with was Care.com who matches your family with babysitters, nannies, special needs care, senior care, and more. As a work at home mom there are often times when I am in desperate need to someone to watch Harlan. This service is definitely something I plan to use in the future!

Other great companies I had the pleasure of speaking with were Summer Infant and Born Free. We’ve used a Summer Infant video monitor since Harlan was born {we still do and I bring it with me on every vacation.} I can’t wait to get the sleeker, slim update version for baby #2.

Dr. Alan Greene, a renowned pediatrician, teamed up with Born Free and to increase awareness of BPA in products our children use. I used to work with Dr. Greene when I worked at a PR firm and I love the message he stands behind. When he teamed up with Born Free, I knew they were products I could trust.

Other companies I love speaking to were Playtex, Johnson and Johnson, Ingrid & Isabelle, and Ella’s Kitchen.

New to the baby shower this year was the Stroller Test Track.

Parents were able to test out the top brands of strollers on this test track! I wish I would have had this before purchasing my stroller for Harlan!

Also new was the Daddy Lounge. All of the dads that attended the shower this year were able to sit back, relax, play video games, and learn about baby items geared just for dads!

And it wouldn’t be the Biggest Baby Shower without great gift bags! Look at what all the new and expectant moms went home with!

This year was the best year by far to be a part of the Biggest Baby Shower! I had such a great night with Risa, Leslie, and everyone who helped make it such a huge success!
