When I tell you that Harlan is the ultimate girly girl, I am not exaggerating. This child picks out her clothes in the morning based on how well the skirt twirls. If it’s not up to the “Harlan Twirl Level” that she expects, she’s not wearing it. It’s a battle that I have chosen not to fight her on.

Her school uniform doesn’t twirl which was a major problem for her at first. Once I told her that that was the same uniform Cinderella wore to preschool (a little white lie won’t hurt her,) she willingly put it on and I’ve had no issues ever since. On the weekends, she loves picking out her outfits because that’s when she can really express and show her true love of fashion.

Secretly, I love that she is into all things girl. The pink, the princesses, jewelry; everything that I loved as a child (and even now) she is completely into. It’s become so much fun to have her tag along with me on shopping trips because she is immersed in it just as much as I am. She gets upset now when she can’t go shopping with me, but will immediately stop when I show her new dresses or skirts that I buy for her.

You should have seen her face when she came home from school a few weeks ago to find the beautiful Starlet Dress from Stella Industries. This dress was made for Harlan. The tulle, the multi-tierd layers that make it look like a tutu, perfect for her in every way.

She immediately put it on as soon as she got it and gave it the “Harlan Twirl Test” to make sure it was perfect.

It was.

So much so that she has wanted to wear it every single day. EVERYDAY. As the weather has started to get cooler, I’ve had to come up with every possible solution so that she can still be warm and wear her beloved dress.

I’ve got my eye on another one for her for Christmas because I know that she would be absolutely thrilled to see her closet full of these beautiful dresses.

Stella Industries strives on making beautiful clothes for young girls. And this Starlet Dress shows you that they have succeeded at that.

Omg, this is just too darling!!! I love how cute and girly she is! I was the ultimate “girly girl” myself and still wonder how on earth the Universe saw fit to give me 2 little boys!!! LOL! I enjoy reading these posts (I follow you in my GoogleReader… usually just too lazy to click over and comment), but today I just had to come by to tell you how sweet and cute she is in her little tutu! That dress was made for her!! 🙂

Hi Lauren

Love this dress!! We are planning on ordering it for my sister’s wedding (flower girls). Do you mind sharing sizing information? I have 2 girls and didn’t know if it ran larger or small. My LO is 37 inches/28 lbs. You can email me if that’s better. Thanks!
