If I had to describe this weekend in one word, it would be: party. Every single friend that Harlan has must have been born in January because her social calendar has been crazy lately!

Before we got the weekend started Avery and I played a little dress up. I found these sweet jeans from Gap and then found a pair that I liked. I couldn’t resist getting both. And of course I couldn’t resist putting them on her the same day as I wore mine.

I always swore to myself I’d never dress my girls alike, much less dress them like me, but it was too cute not to.

Friday night we had a family event at our church. On our way there it started snowing. It’s been miserably frigid this past week, but the snow falling has finally made it all worth it. We didn’t get much, but it was enough to make Harlan giddy.

Saturday morning was our first birthday party at Kidville. We haven’t been there in such a long time, but Harlan made herself at home and had so much fun as always.

Saturday afternoon and evening were very mellow and relaxing. It was so cold outside that we didn’t want to do much. Staying indoors can make the girls a little crazy. So I decided to see just how crazy they could get for the camera.

Avery was in such a good mood that night. She was playing these little games on the couch with me and MacKay. She couldn’t stop giving hugs and kisses.

After A went to bed, Harlan and I put our culinary skills to the test and made a cookie cake. It wasn’t the prettiest, but it sure was delicious.

Sunday was much of the same with another birthday party and more relaxing.

Being the social media addict that I am, I joined Vine. The best way to describe it is like Instagram but with video. It allows you to post 6 second video clips. I’ve been playing around with it all day and really love it. Like any new app, there are a few glitches, but so far I am liking it!

Avery has been extra cuddly right before her bedtime. She loves when I rock her right before I put her into her crib. She puts her face up to mine and smiles at me in the mirror. It is a moment I look forward to all day.

And tonight before Har went to bed, she let me braid her hair. This was such a big deal because she hardly ever lets me play with her hair. I was in heaven.

Hope everyone had a great weekend!
