For the past couple of days, I’ve shared with you my incredible experience on the set of the upcoming DreamWorks film, Delivery Man. Not only did I have the chance to watch a scene filmed, but I also had the opportunity to chat with the films director and lead actors.

We ended our day on the set on a high note with one of my favorite actors (who I might have secretly had a crush on for many years,) Vince Vaughn. Let me start off my telling you that Vaughn is just like you would imagine him to be. Tall, handsome, charming, and witty.

Before our interview, while filming the scene for the movie, we had the chance to see him make up a song about bloggers. He has has a huge respect for parenting bloggers and even admitted that his wife frequently visits many sites. He was genuinely excited to speak with us and was so down to earth. We chatted for a while before even beginning our interview because he was so interested in our stories and our lives. It was nothing I’d ever expect from a big Hollywood actor, but it was so refreshing to see that he was so relatable and wanted to make us as comfortable as possible.

Vaughn gave us a brief overview of the film and what it was all about, and of course he tells us in his classic Vince Vaughn witty charm.

“When the character was younger, he kind of donates a lot to a sperm bank.  As sort of a young guy, he thinks, oh I can make a couple bucks, but never thinks of the consequences at that age.  And now all these years later it’s five hundred kids that could want to meet him.” explained Vaughn. “They’ve overused his donations, if you will.

As a new father, Vaughn was really drawn to the script and the part.

“You know I love the concept, and I think being a new dad, I was really right for it.” added Vaughn, “But I think I really tapped in a lot to what I was going through.  You have all of those wonder and worry going through your body.  I think I’ve just really kind of played and acted this role in my life.”

Although his role in the movie is unlike anything Vaughn’s fatherhood experience in reality, he can still relate to some of what his character goes through.

“The concept in itself is funny.  But then what became interesting was because of the number of children, they can each play out in different circumstances so I think it gives you all of your hopes and fears as a parent, each kind of kid can represent that. One could be getting challenged with problems in life, one’s hurting, and so to all these different kids going through a unique experience, sort of as a parent I think what you try to daydream about and stay positive about.” said Vaughn.

After hearing Vaughn speak about the film and actually getting to see it filmed on set and in person, I cannot wait to see it. The chemistry between Vaughn and Smulders was so apparent and I’m dying to know just how his character manages to father 533 children!

Delivery Man hits theaters November 22.
