I just entered my eighth month of pregnancy on Friday. It’s hard to believe that in less than a few short months we will be welcoming our first son into the world. Although I would love to savor these last few months of pregnancy, the holidays have me busy as ever (is anyone running behind on the Christmas presents this year like me?) I’m taking advantage of the craziness of the season because I know it will fly by and before we know it, I will be holding my little boy.

We just went for our 32 week ultrasound this morning and our little guy is already weighing nearly 5 lbs! The girls both weighed six pounds when they were born, so the fact that he is this big already and I could have eight more weeks of this pregnancy is just insane to me!

For those of you that have both boys and girls, were the boys typically bigger than the girls?

With this boy growing like crazy, my belly is also getting bigger and bigger. unfortunately many of my regular clothes cannot fit over my big bump anymore. Having to wear nearly all maternity clothes is foreign to me because I’ve always been able to make my clothes work throughout the entire pregnancy.

For these next eight weeks I’m having to expand my maternity wardrobe, but I want to make sure that I’ll also be able to wear many of the clothes after pregnancy as well. I am so happy to team up with Target (one of my absolute favorite stores ever!) to bring you 12 Days of Style!

For the next 12 days I’ll be sharing my maternity style outfits on my Instagram account. I had a chance to pick out several items from the Liz Lange Maternity Collection at Target that already works well into my maternity wardrobe.

Each day I’ll show you how I’ve incorporated those Liz Lange pieces into my wardrobe. I have really relished in dressing up this pregnancy and love to show off just what I am wearing!

Be sure to follow along on my Instagram @amommyinthecity and follow the hashtag #12DaysofTargetStyle

{Disclosure: I was not compensated for this post. I did receive a Target gift card to purchase Liz Lange Maternity items.}

My girl was actually bigger than my boy (at birth)! Overall, though, he was a little chunkier at each check-up.

My first was 9 lbs 10 oz and a boy. My second was 8 lbs 7 oz and a girl and my third was 7 lbs 2 oz and a boy. But boys are generally bigger for some reason.

My little guy was a premie (born at 34-weeks) and had to be admitted to the NICU for over one month. The all the and specialists stated his size saved him – he was 6lbs 6oz… as a premie!!
