I love watermelon. And it’s the perfect refreshing summer treat.
I grew up eating watermelon during the summer watching my mom sprinkle it with a little bit of salt. At first I was completely disgusted by the idea until I gave it a try for myself. Watermelon has the perfect amount of sweetness to be paired with something salty.
I saw this idea for the perfect sweet and salty watermelon pair on skinnytaste (a favorite recipe website) and wanted to give it a try. My sister made it for our July 4th party and it was a hit. Even the kids were eating it!
