For the first time ever, I dropped off all three kids at school today. That means that, for the first time in seven years, I had time to myself in the morning. While it was only a few hours (Macks’ school has an ease in policy for the first week,) it was a glorious few hours. I got work done, drank hot coffee, and even enjoyed a hot breakfast.
Macks walked into this classroom this morning without a worry in sight. He’s talked about going to school like his big sisters for the past year. This year is finally his turn and he couldn’t be more excited. It was his enthusiasm that made it so much easier for me to relax and focus on myself, while the kids were at school. I can’t wait to watch them flourish throughout the year and see what this little bit of freedom allows for me!
That’s what makes me happy.
Now tell me something good. Something that’s made you happy. It can be big, it can be small, just something that has put a smile on your face. You can participate by sharing a photo on Wednesday with the hashtag #WhyImHappyWednesday and tagging me @laurenjimeson or feel free to write it in the comments below. I do read them all and am happy to reply back on your good news! You can also join in the conversation on my Facebook page!
