One of my favorite things to do in my down time is to take a walk around the city. There is something so relaxing about walking around without any agenda and taking everything in. I love to people watch, window shop, and explore new neighborhoods. This city has so much to offer that I could never get bored exploring every nook and cranny.

Many times I choose to explore after I drop Harlan off at school. I have a couple of hours with just Avery and Macks and I make sure to take advantage of that time with just the two of them. Usually Avery’s nap time is around the time that Harlan goes to school, so I know if I want to go for a walk that day I have to use a stroller that she can sit in.

City life requires you to have a stroller for every occasion. Ask any parent that lives here and they will tell you that they have more than one stroller. We are willing to sacrifice space for a comfortable ride for our little ones.

While Avery now enjoys walking many of the places that we go to, I knew I would need a double stroller when Macks was born for those long walks around the city. I wanted something that was compact and easy to maneuver while accommodating Macks from the newborn stage.

phil&teds sent me their navigator stroller which is a single stroller that can easily convert to a double. The navigator is the world’s first in-line stroller that has Auto Stop.

I didn’t realize how important the Auto Stop feature was until I took the stroller out on the streets of Manhattan. There are so many times that I have to stop the stroller because one of the kids needs something. With all of the hustle and bustle in the streets, I usually have to manually lock the stroller when I stop. With the Auto Stop on the navigator, you can simply lock the brakes on the stroller by letting go of the handle. It’s that easy. It also has the ability to turn off the Auto Stop feature and manually lock the stroller.

With over 26 riding options, the navigator can accommodate from the newborn stage through the toddler years. Macks is just now able to steadily hold his head up, so he sat reclined in the bottom seat while Avery enjoyed the ride in the front. It was so nice to be able to look down and see Macks in his seat and to be able to just reach down and give him what he needed along the way.

Avery loves sitting in the front seat and pointing out everything that she sees on our walks. Since most of the time these walks are during her nap time, I can easily recline her seat if she does fall asleep while still leaving plenty of room for Macks below.

While most of the time it’s Avery and Macks in the stroller, our long walks do take a toll on Harlan. If that happens, I’ll take Macks out of the seat and wear him and let Har jump in. She’s a little big for the bottom seat, but still fits and is happy to be there. Even with all of that weight in the stroller, it’s still very easy to push and maneuver around.

The double kit for the navigator is sold separately, but the second seat can be used for a variety of options including being able to put the seat rear facing so that you can see baby. I tried this option with Macks by himself and it was very easy to convert.
