I have always been a huge fan of dogs. We had one growing up that was our beloved family pet and I got two as soon as I graduated college and moved out on my own. Our dogs are a part of our family {we even consider them our first kids.}

Harlan has just started the pretend stage and has expressed interest in wanting a dog for herself {as if the two we have aren’t enough.} She has several toy dogs that she plays with everyday around the house pretending like she is taking them for a walk. She even tries to feed them the real dog food we give our real dogs. When we are on the bus or in a taxi, I always keep her occupied by telling her to look for dogs on the sidewalk as we drive by.

She has also expressed her love for my iPhone. She figured out how to unlock it at 15 months {That’s when I had to password protect it} and go to her favorite apps a few months later. The iPhone has saved me on more than a few occasions when we are out and about.

When I was asked to review the Cube Dog application, I was so excited because it brings our love for dogs and my iPhone all in one.

The app lets you create your own virtual dog that you can take with you where ever you go. Harlan and I were guided through the prompts and easily made ours. She helped pick out the color of the dog and I helped with his adorable features. After we were finished she gave him a name and started playing with him right away.

The funniest {and cutest} part of this video is the name she calls the Cube Dog. One of our dogs names is Hudson {I think he’s her favorite,} so she named the virtual dog after her real dog. After she had her time to play, it was my turn.

“Hudsy” joined Harlan on the couch.

“Hudsy” and Hudson

“Hudsy” got a little fiesty.

Not only did Harlan have a blast with this app, but I had so much fun too. It’s not often that I find an application that we can both enjoy together. To learn more about this adorable app, take a look at the video below.

This one looks cute – I think Peanut would love it! Do you know if it’s also for the ipad? As you know, I’m waiting for the iphone 5 😉

Love Harlan’s giggle in the video when her doggie wakes up! Crazy how lil ones can figure out phones and apps at such a young age. How in the world did you get the pics of your Cube Dog in your living room? Is that part of the app? So cool! I “liked” them on Facebook. We are big dog fans here…my kids would go nuts if I had this on my phone.

This looks like so much fun! It would be the closest thing to a pet the Nut will have anytime soon, but she’ll have to wait until Mama gets version 5!
