I hate to admit it but I am a VERY competitive person. We frequently have games nights at our apartment and I hold nothing back when it comes to the game. My husband is the exact same way, so you can probably imagine how heated it can get during a grueling card game.

Many of my friends know my love for games and a good competition so I was thrilled when Adam from Dada Rocks! asked me to be a part of his three person blogger team for a Nissan charity competition.

Nissan recently unveiled their Taxi of Tomorrow in front of the Flatiron Building in NYC.

To kick off the launch of New York City’s newest Taxi, Nissan wanted to hold a trivia competition with host of Discovery Channel’s Cash Cab host, Ben Bailey.

As a big fan of the show, I was super excited to get to play our own version of Cash Cab while raising money for the Naomi Berrie Diabetes Centerhere in NYC.

Prior to the taping Adam, Jill of Glamamom, and I studied up on all of the taxi knowledge that we could.

We knew that some of the questions would be centered around the new Nissan Taxi of Tomorrow. The car itself is pretty amazing and I cannot wait until the launch in 2013. It features a transparent roof panel that allows you to see unique views of the city, USB charging access for passengers, and independent, passenger controlled rear-seat heat/air conditioning.

Once we were finished with our cram session {which Jill is REALLY good at, by the way} it was time for our turn at Ni$$an Taxi Trivia with Ben Bailey!

It’s good to know that the rest of my team is just as competitive as I am because we smoked the competition and were able to raise $1,000 for the Naomi Berrie Diabetes Competition.

It’s good to know our competitive nature can really pay off when we need it to!

{Disclosure: Nissan provided me with a jacket and signed Cash Cab board game by Ben Bailey, host of Discovery Network’s Cash Cab. On my behalf, Nissan also made a $1,000 donation to the Naomi Berrie Diabetes Center.}
