When Harlan was a baby it was important to me to have toys and gear that not only could keep her entertained and engaged, but were also educational. My first discovery of Baby Einstein was at my baby shower when we were given DVDs and the Baby Neptune Ocean Adventure Gym. Once Harlan was born and she was able to enjoy these items, our love for all things Baby Einstein became even greater.

Now that she is a bit older and has outgrown many of the toys, it is great that I can introduce her to more educational ones like the new Discovery Kits. Last week we had a chance to attend the launch of the Discovery Kits with Gossip Girl’s Kelly Rutherford and her daughter Helena.

Once again, Baby Einstein succeeded in keeping Harlan entertained. The bright colors, instruments, animals, and crayons kept Harlan running around the room for hours.

Even Kelly Rutherford and her daughter had fun checking out the wonderful Baby Einstein toys.

Each Discovery Kit comes with a DVD, CD and either a colorful book or discovery cards. There are three levels Experience, Explore, and Expression so the collection grows with your baby. Harlan and I watched the second level on the Wild Animal Safari and she loved being able to point out animals that she has seen before. I had the discovery cards with us while watching and together we found the appropriate card that matched what animal we were seeing on the television.

The Discovery Kits allow both Harlan and I to learn together which helps strengthen her mind and also our relationship with one another.

She looks like such a big girl, sitting with her crayon in hand. And the pink tutu is beyond precious!
