macks6months

This is a little late, but MacKay’s been off of work for the past two weeks, so I’ve been trying to limit my time on the computer to that we can spend time together as a family.

I know I say this every month, but I cannot believe how fast this year is passing. Macks is officially closer to being one year old than he is to being born (does anyone else think of it that way?) He’s rolling like crazy, putting his feet directly on the ground to lift his butt up and scoot backwards (just like he’s doing in this photo,) and he’s on the verge of crawling (crazy scary.)

We’ve officially moved him into his own room and he’s sleeping there for both naps and at night. Month six brought better sleep than before and he’s been sleeping through the night most of the time. He’s definitely on a more predictable schedule now which is nice for planning our days together.

We visited our new pediatrician this month here in Connecticut. As you can see from the photo, it looks like Macks lost two ounces from last month. We aren’t sure if that is completely accurate or if it is because of the difference in scales from our old pediatrician to now. He’s in the 10th percentile for weight and the 50th for both height and head (although he didn’t grow in height this month either.) The doctor doesn’t seem worried, but we will go back for a weight check next month to compare his weight on their scale.

Although he’s not gaining weight, he’s meeting all of his milestones and is thriving, which I am grateful for!

{Month One :: Month Two :: Month Three :: Month Four :: Month Five}
