Our schedule during the week is very structured. I only have a few hours between school drop-off and pick-up to actually get things check off of my to-do list. I try to schedule grocery trips, doctor appointments, and anything else that needs to get done in between those three hours that Avery is at school. It’s during that time that I only have one child and getting things done becomes significantly easier.

A couple of weeks ago, right before our trip to Disney World, Macks had a really bad eczema episode. While we can usually keep it under control with over the counter medications, nothing was working this time. And his skin was only getting worse. My only option was to call his pediatrician to bring him in and see what we could do to help relieve his pain.

The only appointment our doctor had available was at the end of the day. Although I had a million things to get done before our plane left very early the next morning, Macks was in so much pain, so I knew the appointment had to be made. That afternoon, we were in an out of the doctor’s office with two prescriptions to help the itching and to help prevent it from getting worse. While we were in and out of the doctor’s office, I can’t say the same about our trip to the pharmacy. Apparently everyone else in the town wanted to get their medication in the evening on that day, which left us waiting for his medication for nearly an hour. With us leaving the next morning, I had no choice but to wait. So there I sat in the pharmacy, with all three kids that were hungry, tired, and everything else in between. Needless to say, my kids provided quite the entertainment while we were there.

This isn’t the only time that I’ve waited nearly an hour for a prescription with the kids. It seems that every time one of us is sick, so is the rest of the city. I’ve always thought that it would be so convenient if the pharmacy would make it an option to delivery our medications to our home, just like the pizza delivery man delivers our pizza when I don’t have time to make dinner. Apparently my cries for help have been heard because I just discovered an app that will bring your medication right to your door. Capsule eliminates the hassle of waiting in line for your medication. The app brings your medication to your home or office, today or whenever you need it. Your copay stays the same and delivery is always free.

Capsule was created for those of us that would rather spend time getting things done throughout the day than standing in long lines at the pharmacy. It’s the next-generation pharmacy here to make your life simpler and healthier.

What I love about Capsule is simple; it provides the personal, effortless care we deserve. Their pharmacy team is made up of friendly, caring people who take a lot of pleasure in looking after other people. And that includes children. Macks hates oral medications and will flat out refuse to take it once he realizes what it tastes like. Capsule can flavor any of your child’s medications so that getting them to take the medication isn’t a struggle.

And Capsule isn’t just about delivering your medication, they are there to help with whatever you need, just like the pharmacy you’d visit down the street. Whether you need medication flavoring and compounding, prescription syncing, or instructions that you can actually understand, Capsule can help. And if you need to talk with a pharmacist, they are just a tap away on the free Capsule app.

When we traveled to Disney World, Macks was still itching quite a bit and I had a question about his medication. Rather than waiting until we got back to ask my pharmacist the questions, I could just open my Capsule app and ask away! The app gives you the ability to call or message Sonia, Capsule’s Chief Pharmacist, who is available seven days a week.

It’s apps like Capsule that are making my life less stressful, leaving me with time that I can use and be productive, which includes having an amazing and unforgettable vacation with my family.

Let’s face it, as much as we try to leave room in our schedules each day, our lives just keep getting busier and busier. And it seems that on our busiest of days is when life throws us a curveball, adding more stress to our day. It’s our job to use our time wisely, and Capsule helps you do just that.

Capsule is available in New York and is expanding! Download the Capsule app here.
