Why I’m Happy Wednesday: 31

It’s Wednesday! That means it’s time to spread some positivity and tell me why you’re happy. There’s so much going on in our lives that it’s nice to stop and reflect on something that’s happened that’s put a smile on our face.

 

As you can probably guess from above, the new Snapchat filters make me very happy. The kids and I can spend so much time putting these filters on each of us and cracking up. I posted a funny video of Macks with one of the filters that I have seriously played 100 times.  It’s simple, but I don’t think I’ve laughed that hard in a long time. That’s what makes me happy.

Denim Duties: One Outfit, Two Ways

I’m all about making sure that my closet is filled with staples rather than what’s just on trend. Because of my crazy schedule during the week, I don’t have much time to spend picking out an outfit. That’s why I love that with the right pieces of clothing, you can make more than one outfit with the same items.

I recently had the chance to go on a little shopping spree at JCPenney and added two new staples to my wardobe. With spring finally here and the weather warming up, I’ve taken my white jeans out of the closet. I love the fresh look of white denim. The distressed look is really in, so these BELLE + SKY distressed jeans are perfect. And they have  a bit of  a stretch to them, which makes for running after the kids and the dogs, perfect.

I have so many denim button downs in my closest. I love them. They go with nearly anything and you can easily dress them up or down. This denim shirt from Arizona comes in a variety of shades and is super soft, so the kids love to snuggle up with me.

I love that these require little time and little thought when I’m getting ready. So whether it’s a quick meeting during the day or just to take the dogs and kids for a walk around our neighborhood, these two pieces are perfect!
